High-speed Net access for Mumbaikars
WinCable, one of the newest multi-system operators (MSOs), has unveiled what is being touted to be the first high-speed Internet access for the city.
By doing away with the traditional modems and MTNL dial-ups, WinCable subscribers won’t have to worry about their telephones going dead or inflated telephone bills, he added.
A prominent feature of WinCable is that the subscribers would be able to have a round-the-clock and direct high speed Internet access by merely plugging the cable to personal computers. For those who are seeking Internet access through their TV sets, a set top box (comprising a cordless controlled keyboard with an in-built mouse) can help in getting connected to the web.
