Im a very satisfied user of Microsoft Vista and Im using Ultimate edition. I heard this scream before from many people that Vista is a sad OS and its the worst from Microsoft. I just thought of having a try, installed Vista ultimate and Im using it for almost 10 months now.
First of all, Im very much satisfied with Vista.. because1. Its very very easy to use and a very friendly operating system. (I know u all will be thinking what crap am I writing... but its true for me... and the main reason why we feel vista s**ks is coz we are still sitting under the comfort of XP :-)2. Eye candy !!! As am using Ultimate, I have the aero glass theme and windows dreamscene which are truly some amazing work from microsoft.. (tnx for Apple)3. DirectX 10.
Yes ! Am a hardcore gamer and what I found is that for gaming vista has clearly an advantage over XP. And if ur graphic card supports DirectX 10 then u wont be able to enjoy its full features in XP as xp doesnt support Dx10.4. New features like safe locker, scheduled disk defragmentation (which I found very useful), .net framework 3.5 SP1, window preview on the task bar... so on Now the main cons I found with Vista1. If you done have a video card (graphics card) then please dont use Vista as you start hating it. The reason Im saying this is coz I know vista depends alot on GPU. So the better ur graphics card, then better ur vista experience.
Minimum requirement for Vista is 1 GB RAM, but I say it need atleast 2 GB for the best functionality.3. Gosh !!! It takes almost 16 GB hard disk space only for the OS files (remember, xp is only 3 GB max)4. Most of the products available now are compatible with vista but I encountered a problem with a USB dongle which I found was not compatible..Overall, I have a very good experience with Vista because my system is perfect for Vista. I have a core 2 duo 2.4 Ghz with 2 GB RAM and a 512 MB Graphic card. So, when u choose to go for vista, first keep an eye on ur system specs, or else ull end up in this forum giving negetive reviews on VISTA :-)so once again as I stated above...There is Nothing Wrong with VISTA
