This review is from a hands-on experience and it is to warn everyone out there about this entity of a Gurgaon based company called Windshield Experts who claim to be’experts’ in the field of windshields, but happen to know nothing about the technicalities of such a job, and are complete frauds out in the market to make a few quick bucks by fooling customers.
My XUV 500 windshield was replaced by these guys, after being referred by ICICI Lombard Insurance post a claim request from my end. My windshield cracked due to a stone-hit on a highway.
These guys arrived in a Maruti van, struggled to take out the wipers first, struggled to take out the broken glass afterwards, struggled all the way until they fit the new glass. In the process, they damaged one of my wiper caps, scratched my bumper by resting the broken windshield on it while doing a photoshoot of it, and then came the climax of my pain with their pathetic service quality.
I figured that they lack the expertise and skill set to fix the sensor that goes into my XUV glass. They brought Set-wet Hair Gel to fix it, and made a mess of it, and as a result, my sensors stopped working(light and rain sensors in the windshield).
Until date, they have not been able to fix it, after repeated followups and repeatedly coming over and trying to fix the same thing over and over again. They failed miserably to resolve this issue, and I am almost on the verge of giving up, and learning to live with a windshield on my car without its sensors working.
Please beware of them if you happen to bump into them via an insurance company or otherwise. You would not be able to get your work done clean by them, and once you have paid them their money, you can forget about any further assistance that you may require immediately after or later.
