Wings of Fire is an autobiography of APJ Abdul Kalam Sir. He was a former president of India, a teacher and a scientist. He was great man. He was known as missileman. He gave his all life to India.
Abdul Kalam Sir wrote his autobiography in English language and later it translated in so many other languages. This book is about journey of a middle class family boy. Who was lived in Rameshvaram with his parents and his siblings. Abdul Kalam wrote that he was very shy boy. He had three friends, and they used to go to school together. He also described a incident of his early childhood; where one of his teacher castcism and later that teacher apologies for that. He wrote that he was very close to his sisters husband. And he also mentioned that he said one day Abdul would be a great man. Than at age of 14 he started to work as newspaper delivery boy to help his father.
He also mentioned a incident about his teacher who had invited him for meal. And Abdul went to his house for lunch; wife of that teacher refused to serve Abdul just because he was a Muslim. Than his teacher served him at his own. Than next time when Abdul went for lunch she served Abdul with respect. This is very famous part of his autobiography.
