Wipro Technologies, as they call it. Mind you, the name is very misleading. There is nothing technical about this organization. The organization is having a matrix structure and it will take every last bit of intelligence to understand it and the final outcome.
Here are some examples which will speak for themselves:
In Wipro premise you don’t belong to group Homo sapiens, you are a RESOURCE, just like a desktop, VOIP, white board or even trash bin.
If you complete your goals and objectives, no appreciation is given, as it is said “This was expected out of you, nothing great about it” – in short no hikes.
Your manager will get 3 promotions in front of you and you will wait for your promotion like an elusive goal.
Yes, WIPRO is SIX Sigma certified, but the quality and delivery sucks. A mother can deliver 5 healthy babies in nine months but WIPRO cannot deliver a working solution within 5 years.
You will work with some of most fresh minds in WIPRO, simply because of the fact that these minds are never used minds.” My Tech Lead does not know what ASCI codes are.”
It is a sin to hold a B.Tech /B.E. degree in Wipro as all the opportunities will be provided to non-technical people like B.Sc, B.A. etc. Nothing against these guys but the very idea is hypocritical in nature. This is done just to save cost and get more work by paying less.
There is an unending series of tests/trainings/assessments which have to be cleared, and which you will not use in your entire life.
Wipro is so much into money making that the vendors in cafeteria are looting the employees and the management is least bothered about it. Low food quality, high rates and pathetic service are the major attractions.
There is no discipline imparted in the team. Managers will come at their own will and then will expect you sit and work throughout the night.
Any idea to improve the process and thinking out of the box will get serious escalations for you in return. As I tried to automate a process and my delivery manager told me to stop and keep my mouth shut as they are billing 2 more resources for the same. It is evident I never saw those resources.
Nothing I will say about the HR people, because they simply don’t exist.
