Wise??

Almost everybody knows Sudha Murthy as every one knows Infosys. She is well known for her charity work and as a founder of Infosys. This book was gifted by my dad to my mom and I trust my dad’s wise and profound selection of books.

It’s a compilation of her memories and her daily life happenings, where she has put her interesting experiences in the form short stories. Each story being different, by which I mean, they are on totally different aspects. Unlike, books which generally go behind setting a moral, each story in this book is different and unique and brings out the various aspects of life.

She speaks about the various kinds of people she has met and the different attitudes exhibited by them, the difference in perception of things attributed to human nature. So it is a collection of interesting stories or lets say different incidents in her life and she provides her own viewpoints on it.

So basically a light hearted read with some interesting points which make you ponder and think twice about how subtle human nature is. Many things which we ourselves experience in our daily lives and do not give a second thought about it.

How ever, with no offence to her, some of the stories look a bit exaggerated. In some stories the coincidence of events made me a bit skeptical with respect to the genuineness of the story. Perhaps her main aim was to give a lesson or moral.

But still the book provides an interesting read for light times. It also provides with an inspiration to help out the not so lucky and gifted.

Hence the bottom line is that it is worth the money and can be bought without a second thought
