WNS has got a very pathetic policy of 2 months notice period. May be these people think that their employees are very important asset for them, but again they dont pay them well, they dont give proper increments n what not they do in the name of cost cutting.
On top of that, where normally other companies calculate the compensation on the basic salary, these special guys will calculate the compensation on CTC i.e if ur package is in say 2.4lacs per annum(normally they dont offer so much easily, just assumed so that it becomes easy to calculate), a months salary comes to 20000, n 2 months salary is 40000 which they ask as buyout compensation if u r not serving notice. N no company will wait for 2 months as we work in BPO where the supply is much more than the demand n labour required is not skilled, so a company will always say that they have many other ready to join immediately.
So u have to either abscond from WNS(which is again a bad remark on ur resume n ur experience goes wasted), or let the offer go in someone elses hand. One more option u have is to pay the amount (if we had so much to pay to a company we would have started our own business). The option of buyout is also at ur managers discretion if he can allow for early relieving. Another option is to serve notice period n then simultaneously look for job, but that reduces ur value n u loose confidence while negotiating the salary with new company as u in fear of not getting job before the notice period ends n u never know, if ur bad luck is actually starting then u might remain jobless for months.
so in short if u joining WNS, you are putting urself in a trap from which u cannot come out easily.
either u loose future opportunities or u will have to hide ur WNS experience(absconding) or loose the money(notice buyout).
Think twice before deciding.......
R u really adding experience in ur resume or u will have to fill the gap with some fake experience to cover the period to spent in WNS?
