I visited Wayanad district(Kalpetta) during May 2011 with my wife and 2 year old daughter and I initially stayed here for 5 days and continued for another 3 days therefore throughout our trip to Kalpetta we stayed in this hotel for 8 days. It is really value for money if you stay in a deluxe non A/c room(A/c not reqd. even during summer). Any middle class family would like it since it is not expensive staying in this hotel. The Hotel within has a Veg. and non-Veg restaurant which is costlier. In the front side of the hotel there is a restaurant for all which is comparatively much cheaper with limited items(self service).
The room was clean especially the hospitality was good and you can order bed coffee which is served immediately. You get hot and cold water in the bathroom and you will find absolute silence in and around the rooms. You can also feel the presence of staff outside your rooms and the women and children will definitely feel secured and the room is also compact for two adults with a child.
The frontdesk assistants are cordial and friendly and particularly one Mr. Mathew was really courteous and polite and he arranged for most of our sight seeing trips around kalpetta and he was also a useful guide.
If you opt for a deluxe non-A/c room with C.P. Plan(complimentary breakfast) you can definitely save lot of money and it is really worth staying here since it is a budget hotel in the heart of the town of Kalpetta and you will find lots of shops near the hotel where you can do little shopping also.
Therefore it is a value for money hotel which I would recommend for all.
