I bought a world space radio package in Jan 06 at Hyderabad for Rs. 1999/- with 3 months subscription. Even though they advertised that the package was all inclusive, I had to shell down about Rs. 300 for cable and fixing. The radio unit was BPL diva. The agent who installed the antenna and the radio said that the controls were very easy to use and explained in a hurry all the features. Later I struggled to tune up the radio for various channels as the system is not at all user friendly. The trouble shooting guide given does not cover all the problems you face while tuning.
There is limited choice as far as Indian programs are concerned and the radio however, worked only for about 1 month. I gave a complaint to the customer service and the person who turned up after 1 week told that there is a problem with the receiver and went away without rectifying. Even though the radio unit is a part of the package the customer service people feel that they are not responsible for the unit. I gave several complaints to them for rectification but nothing was done. I finally gave up with frustration. If any one of you is contemplating to take the connection, think twice. The fellows vanish without a trace after taking your money. They don’t have any customer service at all. When I gave a stinker to their global Hqrs through e-mail about their service, I got a prompt reply thanking me for my interest and appreciation! They really are world leaders in cheating from space.
