Scorpions was there when I was a teenager and they are still there now.That is the beauty of the group. Most other groups would not stick together for many, many years. I’m sure you would agree. Bravo Scorpions!
I am an ardent fan of the Scorpions until today besides other groups like Eagles, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep etc.etc. However, I prefer Scorpions slow rock maybe because I am more sentimental. I hate noise and I don’t like heavy metal.
So, favourite songs would be STILL LOVING YOU, ALWAYS SOMEWHERE, HOLIDAY, WHEN THE SMOKE IS GOING DOWN and many other slow numbers. I have many collections of the Scorpions. Some I have kept for almost 20 years. Funny thing about me is that I would lend my other collections to friends but I am stingy especially on the Scorpions collections because I am afraid that once returned to me, it would be spoilt or worse still, it might not be returned as always by some friends.
The Scorpions did come to Malaysia a few months back but too bad, I did not go. I think I prefer to listen to the Scorpions in the privacy of my room no matter how much I like the group(I don’t like crowd and noise especially people screaming). I think I won’t be able to concentrate on the music and it may lose all its flavour. You may not agree with me but that’s me.
