Hello guys!
Im a new user as of today. My name is Siddharth Mishra and Im an electronics engg. student from Ghaziabad.
Though Ill shortly write a review on getting a computer built from scratch, I WOULD IN THE MEAN TIME LIKE TO SEND AN SOS TO ANYONE THINKING OF BUYING A SAMSUNG 753S MONITOR - DONT, DONT, DONT!
UNLIKE ITS PREDECESSOR THE TRUSTED 750S THIS MONITOR SUFFERS FROM UMPTEEN DEFECTS - HORIZONTAL SCREEN EXPANSION- YES THE SCREEN ACTUALLY EXPANDS HORIZONTALLY IN JUST UNDER AN HOUR OF USE, EXCESSIVE MOIRE ESPECIALLY AT 800 * 600 RESOLUTION(THOUGH NOT SO AT 1024 * 768).
POOR SERVICE AND WORKMANSHIP - SAMSUNGS NEHRU PLACE SERVICE CENTER HAD NO CLUE AS TO THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM AND HAD TO BE INSTRUCTED BY THEIR BOSSES IN KOREA TO RECTIFY IT- EVEN THEN ONLY THE SEVERITY OF THE PROBLEM DECREASED.
Dont GET ME WRONG - IM NOT AGAINST SAMSUNG, INFACT THEIR HARD-DRIVES ARE NOW BETTER AND MORE RELIABLE THAN SEAGATE HARD-DISKS.
SAME FOR THEIR CONSUMER ELECTRONICS PRODUCTS.
BUT BE WARNED THOUGH, SAMSUNG MONITORS AND OTHER IT PRODUCTS, MADE IN INDIAN FACTORIES, HAVE A VERY HIGH FAILURE NAD MALFUNCTION RATE.(HARD-DISKS AND OTHER SUCH STUFF IS MANUFACTURED IN KOREA - FOR GOOD REASON)
(THE 750S WAS NEVER FULLY MANUFACTURED IN INDIA)
