To start with, I wish some reviewers would stop using ALL CAPITALS! It does not encourage anyone else to go through a diatribe written in all caps. At the end of the day, you are writing your review here for others to read, so to all you ALL CAPS posters, please do make an effort to make your review readable.
Some of us only review when we want to criticise, and of course it is so important to let the world know about a bad product / service / whatever. After all we are the consumers, we have paid our hard earned money and we are entitled to our moneys worth, no more, no less.
It is equally important for us the consumer to let the world know when we are satisfied with a product or service. Sometimes, in fact quite often, it turns out that there is no consistency in quality or service. For example, I may be very satisfied with what I have bought today but when I buy a repeat product or service some months later, it turns out to be totally unsatisfactory.
This too should be publicised for the world to know, so that the manufacturer or service provider gets a kick up his you know where and pulls up his socks. Also, if he has any ethics, he may offer the aggrieved consumer a refund or credit note.
Satisfaction is undoubtedly a subjective matter. What you are pleased with, I may find unacceptable and vice versa. This is why we should make an effort to specify exactly what we like or dislike about what we have spent our money on, as well as what we expected to receive for our money. Well, so much for my two bits worth of advice. Happy reviewing folks.
