Bought it on Amazon for 23000. Previosuly I am using ASUS zenfone 2, with 4GB RAM, Intel2.3 quad processor. So my review is based on comparing Asus Zenfone 2.
Main Findings : 1: Its small and very comfortable to hold.
2: The white color is white with cool white tint, its ok but I like warm white.
3: Lockscreen always shows either pattern or pin even if u chose Finger print unlock, its looks weird when finger print unlock is there.
4: Screen is bright but not whitish white but with yellow tint and coming from milk white screen of Asus it feels downgrade.
5: MI5 has made things over complex, e.g. you cannot find screen off time in settings, keep looking.
6: MI5 gives so hell lot of notifications and keep bothering.
7: To my shock, I just found out that it cannot be rooted that easily, means I cannot remove all the crap that came pre installed with the mobile.
8: Camera seems ok, but I am not able to find the setting to change image size, how weird.
9: Regarding Camera I think its over hyped, its just average and trust me there’s nothing in comparison. I have 16 MP galaxy s6 edge also and this MI5 can’t come even closer to Galaxy s6 edge. Front Camera is Good, even better then any Galaxy s6 or S7 or Asus.
10: MI5 theme store now don’t have individual change option I mean, now its not possible to change only fonts or icons, you have to apply whole themes only.
11: Most IMPORTANT, this MIUI rom is having some annoying bugs, like Equaliser don’t work, it always gives error, It just don’t work even after updating.
12: Wallpaper pictures don’t load when we open wallpapers in themes, its just gives error " can’t load pic", how annoying.
13: I am heavy user and only 400-500 mb of RAM is available free. In ASUS ZF2 RAM was never a issue thanks to 4GB RAM. But still MI5 don’t hangs and works fine.
In the End its nice phone but for this price its not that worth.
