I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 as my main phone and needed another basically for using a BSNL SIM at our orchard where Airtel does not work. Did a lot research on available phones, went to market to see phones and finally decided to get a Redmi 1S. Then 1-2-3 flash sales but was finally able to snag one.Mid September and am using this. First as back up and now as my main phone. My observations of this phone are summated below.
Build .The phone as every one knows comes with 4.7inch IPS screen which has Gorilla Glass 2 protection, hence never put a screen guard and touch is just butter. Colors are very good and display is really bright. Though sunlight visibility is not so good because of reflective glass, but my 32 k Note 2 was worse. Build is solid with nary a creak.
Camera.surprise.the camera is very very good.auto focus is fast and rendition is true even in less light is extremely good.Front Cam though only 1, 6MP still gives good selfies,
Connectivity.It is very good with voice calls, crystal clear, Wi-fi and 3G which I use is pretty good. simplified MIUI interface is easy to use.
Speaker volumes is OK and clear but perhaps not too loud.
Battery Life.I have had good battery life in this phone especially after 10-12 charge cycles, with battery lasting whole 20 Hours.
I can only sum up my review with a short closing, this Phone at Rs 5999 is Unbeatable.
