Xiaomi Redmi 1S is an affordable budget smartphone having some impressive specifications. The overall look of the phone is good. The back cover is made of plastic. But am not very much impressed with the overall built in quality. The phone supports dual sim slot supporting min sims and the battery is removable.
The screen size of the mobile is of 4.7 inches with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and supports multitouch. The screen is protected with AGC dragontrail glass which is very good. Redmi 1S works qualcomm MSM8228 snapdragon 400 chipset with 1 GB RAM. The phone offers 8 GB of internal storage and supports microSD card for expansion up to 64 GB.
The primary camera is of 8 megapixels and the secondary camera is of 1.6 megapixels. To be frank I never expected much from the camera considering the price range of the mobile even though it is an 8 megapixel shooter. But my calculations were extremely wrong. The primary camera performance is simply superb. The picture quality is commendable and you will be surprised by its performance. I am happy to say that it performs even better than some of the smartphones above Rs 10, 000!
But when it comes to call quality and battery life, Redmi 1S is not a good quality device. If you are a heavy user please stay away from this phone. But if you are an average user who likes to click to some cool photos, then you can surely have a check with this one as the camera quality is impressive.
