Ever since I saw the Redmi 2 it attracted me. However, the RAM and Internal memory was a bit low. My search for a killer phone at an affordable price came to an end when the Redmi 2 Prime was launched. Got it at only 5850/- INR from Flipkart during an offer sale.
Without much of flowery tales lets jump into pros and cons so that it can help others to decide
Pros:
Size/form factor - Very handy with 4.7 inch screen enables user to use one handed, also the screen does not look very small.
Build - Quite sturdy and feels solid
Memory - 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory, what esle is required at this price range
Camera - Very good at its class, clarity, exposure, punchy colour, very good video quality.
Ease of use - It may feel different at the beginning but will very very easy after few days, they it will be enjoyable.
Connectivity - Cheap phone with 4G ready the ultimate one
Screen - 720 P screen at 4.7 inch is great for viewing any content, though cannot be matched with AMOLED but display is very satisfying.
Sound - One of the most important is the sound output of the phone, loud speaker is really really loud, the sound quality out of the speaker as well as from headphones is very crisp and clear.
Cons:
Battery - Though ok but could have been better, as multimedia phones are bound to be used for long and battery life is important, a tad better would have been great.
Call quality - Though it is sufficient for many users I have met, but in my opinion it is little low, mainly at the other end people complaint about low voice.
Camera colour - Camera quality is good but pictures taken shows little warmer/yellowish tint.
Heating - Phone gets heated up with high end gaming and while using 32 GB external Memory card.
Final verdict - It is obvious that the weight of pros is in heavier side than the cons, making the decision very easy to choose the phone. Honestly it is difficult to get a feature rich beast at such a low cost. Highly recommended.
