I have got the redmi 2 for the past few months.Here are my thoughts
Pros
1.Superb display@price it offers
2.Two gb of ram coupled with 64bit cpu makes is blazing fast
3.Speakers are very loud and crisp
4.Call quality is awesome
5.Premium camera which we cannot even find in high end devices.
6.no lags, its very fast
7.Touch is silky smooth, no hiccups
Cons
1.the device is very slippery.kindly 1st buy a cover and tempered glass
2.No gorilla glass protection
4.Biggest con ever slowest android updates.It runs on heavily modified android know as MIUI os which is at v7 now but still uses kitkat as the base version of android.Future update is unknown
For me the value of pros heavily over weighs the con so its def a must buy smartphone
