Xiaomi Redmi, "Baby u got Me"

Hi reader, this is not a review, this is a feeling, that comes straight from my heart. Previously, I had an LG Optimus L3, which was really not at par with the current standards, and I am talking about last two months or so.

So, I decided to buy a phone in sub 11 to 12000 range. And then I heard about this brand with great features, from my friend. I saw 2GB rRAM, 16 GB internal memory, it instantly strike a chord with me, and I was sure I had to buy this. I even got a discount from Amazon, when I bought it in August.

Now, first of all, I love its looks, I have the golden one. It has 5.5" 1080x1920 display, quite better than it sounds. The rear camera is 16MP with dual flash. It has about 5MP front camera too, which is quite decent.

Its obviously 4G, VOLTE enabled and has all the standard features like Wifi and BT. Comes with MIUI7 but the 8th upgrade is awesome. And the cherry on the cake, fingerprint sensor. You can save upto 5 fingerprints at a time.

Apart from it has a gutsy 1.4GHz Qualcomm(Hexacore 650) processor. Mine is the INR 10000 variant, it has 16GB internal, though only 11 to 12 GB can be really used. In the other variant, its 32GB and the external is expandable to, upto 128GB.

Now, coming to other tid-bits. It has an ambient light sensor, which helps change the brightness, depending upon the surrounding light, which is at times annoying. But anyways, it comes as a standard feature. Its obviously dual SIM, with the slot 1 being "nano" and the other being "micro". Battery is not removeable, and the SIMs and the SD card, we have to use a pin to remove, which is given with the pack.

Gaming is quite decent, unless you want to play Battlefield types of games in it.

The thing I hate the most is the heating which happens while charging with the network services on. But apart from the that, the best part is the battery backup. A 4050mAh Li-Polymer battery rocks as hell. I can use all sorts of network services, play games hardcore, and talk on endlessly, for a whole day, but still it will have some life left for getting back home.

In all its a very very value for money product there is, that a common man can want. Chiao!
