I bought RN4 4GB variant 2 months ago via Flipkart for 12, 999. When I received box I noticed this is a Made in India product, which is nice. Opening up the box, there is RN4, charger(which is not a fast charger), sim ejector tool and guides.
Phone feels great in hands as it has got 2.5D glass on top and shaffered edges on back. The back is of metal with plastic on top and bottom. Build quality is good at this price.
It has a 5.5inch 1080P IPS LCD panel which is bright, got decent viewing angles and visible in sunlight.
It has got a 4100mAh battery which easily lasts for 3 days on a single charge with normal usage and it takes approx 3 hours to charge the device full with given charger in the box.
Audio through speakers is quiet loud.
It has got SD625 underneath the heart, which is based on 14nm technology, hence it is a power efficient chip. It is quiet smooth and fluid in daily usage and doesnt heat while gaming.
It has hybrid sim slot, which accepts either 2 sim or 1 sim+ sd card.
It comes in 3 variants 2+32GB, 3+32GB& 4+64GB priced at 9999, 10999& 12999 INR respectively and 4 colors, Gold, silver, dark grey and matte black. Personally I prefer matte black. I dont like white color front panel.
It runs on Android 6.0.1 marshmallow with miui 8 on top, which is xiaomis custom UI and it is expected to get 7.0 nougat update soon.
It also has an IR blaster on top so you can use it as a remote for your TV or AC.
Fingerprint scanner is on the back which is an active scanner and unlocks device very fast.
As far as camera is concerned, It has a 13MP+5MP camera which is quiet average. Not bad but I was expecting better performance.
So wrapping all up, here are pros and cons.
Pros-
Price
Build quality
Snapdragon 625 processor
4GB+64GB storage
Battery backup
Performance
Fingerprint scanner
IR blaster
Cons-
Hybrid sim slot(It should have a dedicated SD card slot)
Camera(as I said it is not bad but average, you can get far better camera in this segment with moto G4 plus or G5 plus)
No fast charging
So If camera is your high priority then go for moto G5 plus and if battery and performance is your prority, you can consider this device. It is a good value for money device.
If you liked my review RATE it as VERY USEFUL.
Have a great day!
