It also helped Xiaomi become the number one smartphone seller in India, beating Samsung and other rivals.
Now, almost a year after the launch of the Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi has come up with a new model to replace it. The Redmi 5 Plus, first launched in China, has been rebranded as the Redmi Note 5 in India, and has been positioned as the successor to the Redmi Note 4.
