The design and the display of Redmi Note 9 Pro seems to be almost identical to the Note 9 Pro Max, however, Xiaomi claims to have brought changes under the hood.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC. This smartphone is available in just two variants: 4GB and 6GB RAM paired with 64GB and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage options. The fact that the 8GB RAM variant is missing suggests that the Note 9 Pro might just act as the successor of the Redmi Note 8.
The design of Redmi Note 9 Pro could have done better with the placement of its design features. The glass sandwich design as well as the back panel that sports Gorilla Glass 5 protection, adds a few plus points to it however the quad-camera that are featured in a squared module with a bump makes the smartphone feel bulky and the battery seems to be just enough for a day for a non-heavy user.
Snapdragon 720 processor finds itself positioned below the Snapdragon 730G and so it offers an average level of performance for a mid-range phone. For the price of this smartphone, one needs to make a compromise on the performance feature of the same.
Redmi Note 9 Pro runs on MIUI 11 which is based on Android 10. Even after a few improvements brought on board, it still has bloatware applications that will annoy the user with push notifications.
