Free "Blackberry" service for everybody.

Would you like to check you mail from your mobile handset. Would you like to reply, send mail, move mail to folders, delete mail etc. And then along with it would you like todays weather conditions for about 10 cities and the next few days weather of your own city. Along with that your stock quotations, the Sensex, the Nasdaq, Nekkei etc. Financial news. After which may be you’d also like to get some breaking NEWS, And maybe also some feed on you favourite actors, movies. And at this point of time maybe you are so engrosed with your mobile that you did’nt see which way you moved so you’d want some Global Positioning help. And supposing you have not lost your way and probably have a driver either private or public depending on the type of the transportation you are in, taking you to your destination then may be you could just relax and watch some great photographs of people, places, paitings etc. and make your comments. WHEW!.Ye kahan aa gaye hum.

The integration of Internet and Cellular networks is now poised to deliver some marvelous visions of the great whiz kids at the Web Giants .in this cae the YAHOO.Com. All you need to do for all that I mentioned above is to sign up for an email account at Yahoo.com/co.in etc. If you already have one then there is no need for a new email account. Next you got to have a GPRS class 10 JAVA enabled handset and xml compatible(most new phones including budget phones already have it). And your operator should provide GPRS services. Even elementary GPRS services like Airtel Live/ Vodafone live etc. which are now rentfree are sufficient. Now with this in hand all you gotta do is go to https://in.mobile.yahoo.com/go and type your mobile no. at "Get Yahoo GO". You will recieve a browser link and you can download the application which is breeze. The first time Yahoo go starts you have to provide your yahoo id and the password.and LO! in a few seconds you enter Yahoo GO.

The Yahoo Go chiefly has following applications: 1. Start page - Diary/ Search 2. Mail 3. Flicker 4. Weather 5. Entertaintment 6. Finance 7. News 8.GPS the applications are laid out through horizontally navigable icons(called "widgets" by yahoo). Data pertaining to each application is retrieved on your moving to the widget. This way you dont have to navigate sites to reach get info thus your useless data transfer costs are efficiently economised. Each widget allows personalisation eg. in Finance you can select your co. stocks. etc. Anybody having used "My Yahoo" / "My MSN" will get an idea of personalisation.

So now you are connected to your friends, business associates etc. also thru the internet on your mobile making your mobile a complete communication tool. No need to go for the expensive blackberry handsets and pay ransom rentals to the cell service provider. Just get yahoo go. But the cons which come mostly from cell operators is tat they charge yahoo go down loads 15 p / 10 K as data transfer charges. And having seen my GPRS bills I am sure the charges need some hilevel investigations by the TRAI or Consumer forum. Especially if you have a image ready phone and are tempted to download your image attachments files.just remember you are on the GPRS account. Therefore ideally use the service for textual email and documents.or else the download should be worth it. Another issue with Yahoo GO, "Beta" as they call it, is that I have found it to work on select NOKIA phones, they did not have a version for MotV3i or Nokia6030 etc and Yahoo informs you at the time of the download.

Amazingly they did not a version for NOKIA E90 comminicator either. But it works breeze on the Nokia 6233/6300 & like phones visit the site for the compatible phones. I am using the really amazing Yahoo Go for about six months or so now and it is benefitted me tremendously. When a customer sends a mail I can inform the receipt when I am on the GO! SO just go for it.
