You'll find some great deals!

Yahoo Auctions is a great place to find deals on everything and for those who want to put in the time-a great place to make some money from your junk.

The site is set up well. The categories are clear and the search function works well. You need to register to bid or sell. Once you find an item of interest, you can place a bid. You can also enter your maximum bid. Your bid is entered at the minimum increase from the current bid. Each time you are outbid (up to your limit) your bid is automatically raised higher than the bid placed. Whenever your bid is increased or when a bid is placed above your limit; you will receive an email. You can ask further information from the seller before bidding (by email). You can also check out the seller’s history and the comments of others who have purchased from him. I’ve purchased several times and only had one bad experience with a seller. Since my last purchase, Yahoo now has their own online payment system so it is no longer necessary to trust sending a check to a stranger. Yahoo currently does not charge a transaction fee for this service.

I have personally not sold anything at Yahoo, but have friends who have successfully. As of January 2001, Yahoo does charge a small listing fee. (comparable to other sites)

If you are interested in selling or purchasing using online auctions-Yahoo is a good option to investigate
