Yamahas Cruiser Motorcycle Enticer, earlier named The Royal Star, made its way through the huge Indian motorbike market way past in September last year 2002.
Other than the legendary RX-100, Yamahas other models like the YBX, Ace, RXZ werent able to make an impact. So, to put an end to the companys long period of drought, the Enticer was launched. It prooved a huge attraction for the customers.People who wanted to pose and still didnt wanted
to loose anything on the mileage chose this bike.It is a city cruiser, made for the traffic;not for the highways.
The reason for this is its average engine size,
i.e.125cc which generates 11bhp of power.Due to its light weight (116 kg only), it is quite easy to ride(which is the reason why lads younger than me move zig zag on it posing in the city as if they were riding a Harley Davidson!).
As soon as the Enticer was launched, its sales picked up because people who wanted to pose riding on the Eliminator but werent able to buy it becoz of its high pricing (about 90, 000), got a cheap offering instead of
the former one.But after the people realized that it holds no candle to the kawasakian cruiser its sales started decraesing at the same rate it started increasing.
The bottom line is You can buy that piece of a
Cruiser but you will never feel the fun you can always have on the eliminator and others in India.I would rather prefer
a Pulsar 150 and if you have th money than look for none other than eliminator
