I must must thank all those who have posted their reviews on mouthshut. It’s now two products that I have bought reading mouthshut reviews.
In late 2002, I bought a PC based on reviews and advices from friends on mouthshut and since have been addicted to this site. I’ve become a member now.
I read all articles about various bikes available in the market as of now and I have finalized on Yamaha Enticer. I believe in SatyaShree Sai Baba and will be booking the bike on this coming Thursday.
Looks & Style - The looks of the bike are quite good. Other than being a Yamaha product, a lot of thought process has gone into designing this beauty. The ’’dashboard’’ has display of all useful information. Nothing like - ’’how much RPM’’ u have hit, which gear u r currently in, etc. etc. Unless you have a 1000 cc bike, I don’t understand the ’’how much RPM’’ gauge.
Performance - The bike holds steady even at 80kmph. Other bikes clatter, shake, and do all kinds of things. This one is steady. And for 50kmpl in city, 60kmpl on highway, I feel thats more than enough for all bike lovers. If you want a bike with 80kmpl, stop looking for style and speed. Enticer is a halfway meet between consumption / speed.
Comfort - Step-thru seat and bigger footrest gives you a comforting ride.
Price - You don’t have to shell out approx.1 lakh for this bike. A mere 58k will do. As for the package you are getting, you should not crib that its not like Eliminator.
Cons - They could have put in disk brakes and electronic start (at an extra cost for each component).
As for my advice regarding buying these bikes, DON’T BUY IT AT SUB-DEALERS. THEY CHARGE A ’’ON’’ FEE OF 5K APPROX. AS OF NOW. Buy the bike at a authorised dealer. You’ll get the bike in 5 days on cash and 20 days on finance.
