For all the guys aspiring to ride a cruiser, there is not a better starting point than the Enticer. The strategic pricing surely makes it a winner, but that is not the end of the magic. The Enticer performs better than most city bikes and also makes its standing in the world of Indian cruisers. Its style imitates that of the Eliminator so closely, that a comparison is inevitable. The Enticer scores on most points over the Eliminator in matters of style, such as footboards, rear-end, rear-view mirrors and handlebar.
There is plenty of chrome thrown in and the paint job is pretty nifty. The only point where the Eliminator scores by a margin is the awesome petrol tank with the shining speedometer centrally mounted. The Enticer, with its 123cc engine, can still pack a punch and if handled well, gives a decent pickup upto 60kmph, although not anything that can leave other bikes biting the dust. However the best part to feel the torque is when it hikes upto 80kmph.
The top speed of the Engine however, sadly meets its end at 97kmph, but that is more than sufficient in driving around the city. Yet it is a thrill that is justified keeping in mind the decent milege figure which rounds up at 40 kmpl in city riding conditions. In terms of comfort the bike is unbeatable and riding 180 kms in Delhis environs at a stretch did not break a sweat with me. The seats are plush and comfortable and the footrests add a world of comfort to the rider. Even with drum breaks in the basic model, the bike always comes to a stable halt and the pitchfork handlebar scores well with front braking.
Even with drum brakes in the basic model (that is one I have), braking is easy, safe and effortless. The best part of the bike is that it provides a smooth ride, though the distinct thumpy noice ala the Bullet is missing. However, the ride quality more that compensates it. The entire chassis design ensures a smooth rideability. The low slung seat, wide tyres and even weight distribution make it one of the most stable bikes in India.
The engine displacement provides an impressive compression ratio and is a distinct plus point that relieves the rider of having to grip the clutch when gradually slowing down from 60 to 0 at the traffic stop signal. To put it in a nutshell, the Enticer is one of the classiest bikes ever to be designed in India, with simply amazing riding comfort and is astoundingly stable on the road. So if you wish to enter the world of cruisers, here is an entry-level bike that will make even the colossuses stand up and take notice! Take good care of the machine and it will go a long way with you!
