I always dreamt to have nice hunky looking bike the way they show in movies like Dhoom or Torque.
Well as my pocket didn’t give me a leverage to go for Suzuki hayabusa or for Yamaha R1, MT01 or the list goes endless actually. So a day dawned when my Cousin Bro thought to take a bike for himself after bit of a brain storming with me and searching on in mouthshut.
We came to conclusion about FZ, till that time I was searching for bike for him. But then my cousin bro suggested why don’t you too take a bike as its been 10 years I was driving bajaj.I was reluctant at the first place but then I wanted a change in my life too.
Well then bingo all went well and got my new FZ-16 (Color: Flaming Orange) along with my cousin bro’s FZ-16(Color: Lava Red).
Before buying I had following requirements in my mind:
1) Should Suit my pocket
2) Killer Looks
3)Performance should be in its class
4) Not much bothered about mileage but ya why not save some extra bucks when it’s possible
5) Driving Comfort for long rides
We compared almost all bikes in 150 CC range and the only thing which caught my eyes was its killer looks and its rear tyre width and both tubeless tyres.
So puncture ke jhanjhat nahi and even if some big screw does get inside his legs (read tyres) FZ’s can sustain the wound till we get to any puncture guy. And due to its tyres the bike is rock steady even at 100 Kms speed, just tried it once but yes I personally don’t drive nor recommend to drive at that speed, but just to test it for once I did.
I continued my journey of biking with the new FZ-16(Beautiful beast). Yes it looks so Handsome and beautiful ("Definatly male" in bikes) and yet it means pure business when it comes to cruising on the road. Feels like you are just gliding on it. I enjoyed basking in the glamour, by all the onlookers when I used to cruise my bike along the roads or stop over at the signals. Some ignorant curious bunch of people also asked which this bike is. As proudly as I can say...it’s YAMAHA FZ-16.
The only disadvantage I feel is for pillion rider the seat is bit uncomfy for a tall person and also bit smaller so its no family bike (no chunnu, munnu aur papa di gaddi bike). For the guys who have family and wants his son/daughter and also his wife to cruise along with FZ-16. Word of caution: Stay away from it
Coz it becomes dangerous to drive as well as uncomfy for everybody as it’s meant for just 2 of you or just ride it with you wife and then another round with your kids. So gals what are you waiting for, my seat is all available...wanna go Zoom with me? Sometimes bumpy road where pot holes are like big mountains, the main stands get the brunt of it, it gets bit scratchy.And yes do get a leg guard fitted before you take the delivery as its must for the bike. The bike is so smooth no noise pollution at all, actually it’s smooth as butter (Makkhan), with first servicing I got 43 as mileage and now its almost 45+ now after 2nd servicing.
