150 CC Segment Redefined, Come ye FZ 16.

This bike is an absolute killer in 150CC segment. An absolute stunner by the looks, FZ 16 will pump adrenaline faster through your body than any other machine.

The makers have paid a great deal of attention to the details. Although the naked chassis between the engine and the fork looks bad, trust me the rest of the body is so magnificently designed, you wont notice the naked chassis unless inspecting like sniffer dogs. The meter panel also wont appeal to everyone, the all digital console looks like a colourful videogame quite contrary to the rest of muscular facade. Third is the front numberplate :- folks in towns where front no.plate is not mandatory dont have to worry a bit, other wise there is only an option of putting a sticker with your reg. no. on the front 3" / 3.5" of you mudguard.   Apart from these 3 things, you are bound to love all this bike has to offer.

The pickup is equally good as Pulsar 220, ( 20 bhp Vs 14 bhp of FZ16 ), that is the core competence of Yamaha.

Handling is better than any other bike manufactured in India, The grip is unparallelled, you will feel like riding a dirt bike as far as grip is concerned. And I will tell you , this bike loves curves more than you do ;-) . Moreover the FZ16 begs to be pushed when you zig-zag through the traffic. The rear half of the bike is the heart winner as far as looks are concerned.

Fuel consumption is one thing , I cant be sure of unless I drive it for 1000-1500 KMs. Various reviews have claimed 36 - 40 KMs ( City ) & + 3-5 KMs ( Highway ).

The bike’s diamond shaped compact chassis makes it look shorter in wheel to wheel length. The diamond shaped chassis makes your riding position upright which is comfortable and makes for easy and painless head position even in long rides.

Be ready for a foreclosure of all the competition, The others will be spending endless hours in their labs until they produce something close enough to offer a competition.

As an ex-fan of Pulsar, it is sad but HERE ENDS THE ERA OF PULSARS.
