Friends i’m going to be a new family member to the grt YAMAHA family. I’ve booked a Yamaha yzf r15 and it will be delivered in 2-3days. I m gona hav my first personal bike.
After surveying the market I finalized two bikes to my choice,
- Yamaha r15
Honda unicorn
After taking both the bikes for test drive I found hell and heaven difference between the two bikes. With my comparison i’ll try to solve the query between which bike to buy and which to bye bye. I’ve many a times driven both r15 as well as unicorn of my friends.
COMPARISON:
1.MILEAGE:
Only part where Unicorn score over R15. Unicorn will return u a mileage of 48-52 in town and 55-60 in highways, in contrary r15 will return u a mileage of 35-38 in towns and 42-48 in highways (REMEMBER:mileage always depends upon ur driving style)
2.LOOKS:
R15 definitely stands far ahead den unicorn because of its racing macho style. (REMEMBER: looks always depends upon personal thoughts and feelings)
- ENGINE:(POWER)
Both the bikes have a 150 cc engine to be compared. R15 has inherited it’s engine from R-series which is a world class racing engine, which will deliver greater power in bhp, and a better torque hence, means your pickup will be high. where as unicorn has got a lower bhp standard 150 cc engine which is not so powerful but a well refined from any other bikes in its range.
4.RELIABILITY:
Both the bikes are reliable but we can say that Yamaha r15 is more reliable because, of its tubeless tyres, dual disk brakes, liquid cooled engine. Where as unicorn provides u a tuff-tip tyres which can prevent puncture to some extent, single front disk brakes, air cooled engine.
- MAINTENANCE:
R15 requires a little more maintenance costs more than your Unicorn.
6.COMFORT:
As R15 is spots bike it can give u a little bit of stress but always minor and it is suggested to take small breaks during long drive. Unicorn holds a better hand in stress handling problem den r15. Finally I would suggest u to go for r15 if u are a keen lover of bikes and u have got a passion for driving. But if u are mileage conscious and want a good engined bike den go for honda unicorn.
