When yamaha launched this bike it was expected to be a huge success for indian market but turned out to be a huge dissapoinment. The bike may look good at first glance but when you spend some time with it you’ll find out that it’s the worst bike made by yamaha ever. The plastic used for the fairing is cheap and not reliable. The headlights on this bike does not work properly as you’ll have a hard time seeing the road even in pitch black conditions. The speedometer is a bit old fashioned and does not adequate information, cheaper bikes than the r15 provide more information on their instrument cluster. This bike is a 150cc bike and still it costs more than a lakh. Some good 200cc bikes like the pulsar ns200 and the apache rtr 200 are cheaper than the r15. This bike has a very bad acceleration even on open road this bike takes an eternity to reach 100kmph speed. It does have a decent top speed but u’ll probably need a runway to reach it’s top speed. Even though it’s a 150cc bike it does not give a decent mileage, the company has claimed a mileage of 42kmpl but it doesn’t even give 30. All the parts of this bike are too costly and are not readily available in case of an accident. Overall this bike sucks and is literally a toy bike would prefer buying a honda hornet than buying this piece of junk
