Awesome bike for real bikers

I am no biker and this is my first ever bike. Yesterday only I got this piece of beauty. Could not control myself on speed and touched 110km/hr. And still it seems to be under contol. Great grip on the roads. Simply superb. I felt like flying as the wind hitting my chest and gushing through my arms and on top of it no vibration what so ever from the bike. It was really rock solid.

But I will not ever go beyond 5000rpm for first 500km and 7500 rpm for 500-1000km as the manual suggested and experts says too, the first month is very crucial for ur bike. I would suggest the would be owners of any bike not to do the crazy thing which I did on the very 1st day.

Drove close to 50Km on first day itself for 3.5 hrs continuously. Drove though jams, highway, narrow lane, sharp curves, narrow U turns. Handling is mind blowing. All heads were turning on the this angel. Cars window shield doping down. To my surprise in one red light, one guy doped his car shield looked at the bike for few minute and said nice bike. :-)

I took this for two reason. Looks and performance. And I felt both on the first day itself.

To be very honest this bike is not meant for driving at 50Km/Hr. But still if u drive it slow, drive on higher gears like I tried to drive it on 4th gear at speed of 20-30. And on sixth at 40Km/Hr. Engine sounds good. On lower gears bikes vibrates a bit. But I shifted to higher transmission vibrataion went off. No jerk atall on 1st gear which I have got on all bikes I have drove till date.

I had problems with gears. I was not able to neutral it. One funny incident happens when I straight took it to near by petrol pump and I was not able to netural the bike :-p. Some how I learned to netural it by taking it to neer by yamaha showroom ;-) Gears are a bit treeky. You need to get adjusted with this bike very soon. If you dont drive in a apt position u may face wrist pain, thigh pain and back pain as I did after my 1st drive. Bend ur elbows a bit and dont put weight on ur wrist and arms. Put weight on ur hips and back.

For getting the real pleasure u have to go through pain for the 1st time. ;-) I really felt like a King on the road. As the driving position which I try to emulate on cousin’s bike (passion and pulsar), it was coming naturally to this one - Bending far from the handle. I wish to sit on a tiger. I don know how would it feel like but after sitting on this u can feel as u r on a tiger.

Few defects which I soon want to rectify. Some bolt is lose some where on the head part which is giving slight froggy sound which is bit irritating. And out of two, one front light is not turning on, on low beam. Yamaha is not known for providing good service and customer relations, its just the product which catch the coustomers. At the end of the day it the product wat counts. I am overall happy with this incarnation. You too will feel the power of this bike once u drive it above 100km/hr. I will wait for a month to feel the same power again.

Go ahead and get this queen.
