Yamaha 125ss -review after 2000KM

Now after riding 125SS Yamaha for 2250 KM I can be crowned as an experience rider of 125SS. (My bike has got experience of mine as well) and the chemistry is incredible. Now when I see the bikes market and counterparts in 125 segment am happier than before (the time when I purchased this bike 3 months ago).

The reason being there is no competitor yet and bike is sharing it’s market with Shine, stunner and discover 135 (Flame, Glamour have already been retired).

there is a common philosophy of Indians we compare Good with better and better with best. I met many people in my gang who have been comparing 125SS with 135-150 Pulsar, stunner, and even unicorn regardless to their price differences, well I am delighted to have a masterpiece being compared with legends (without paying that much price).

Let’s move on the subject, now after riding it more than 2000 KM I didn’t feel much difference in bike from the day 1. yes there are improvements in mileage, gear shifts, and swiftness. the major improvement I felt when speed is more than 80 KMPH. I had been feeling some vibrations above 70 previously but now engine is smoother even above 80.

you start feeling little vibrations above 90 which you feel in Pulsar 150 even. The one thing Yamaha can be accused of is braking, Drum brakes still takes time to apply, disc is reliable but we have paid extra for it as well.

Mileage, , , some fool people don’t believe when I say I am getting 62 KMPL, Yamaha and 62? but yes. take my bike and test the mileage on any bat, I can loose anything if I proved false.

I still stand on some distance from my bike and watch people’s  reaction passing by it (like wow, what a bike), then people start comparing it with Pulsar 135-150 , Unicorn etc etc.

I would suggest this bike:

For everyone who want their weekends spend in long visits, roaming on highways, and enjoy the speed with comfort

For Urban areas where u have freedom to maintain a speed above 40 KMPL.

You ride singal or your girlfriend weighs   If you are fond of playing with road & traffic and zoomming and throwing cuts to roadmates

I wouldn’t suggest this bike:

For those living in rural areas where speed must be <40 , u will be tired of changing geares as it’s lower torque is pathatic.
