Yamaha SZ R

I bought this Power house on 27th Jan. Very smooth engine, awesome pickup. Previously I used to ride my friends’s unicorn, Apache & CBZ Xtreme, but I felt this beauty more powerful. But not as comfortable as unicorn. I didn’t tested it for mileage yet. But the overall performance of the bike is very good, I can zip thru the city traffic as smooth as I can. I felt like this bike always listens to you, it will do what ever u want. Not so stylish, but believe me it got some good looks. Although little bit of cons as I mentioned, I’m truly satisfied with this bike. Even the bike’s weight is very evenly distributed i.e., width wise.

The weight is just 132 kgs for a 150 cc bike, I’m afraid of CBZ Xtreme newer version, whether I can control it or not, but this one no problem at all, I had more control on this one than my Old pal CD Deluxe(Mr. Relaible). I have ridden most of the 150cc bikes, except Herohonda Achiever, but SZR has a bit of magic(Un explainable). I will test the mileage and will update all u guys soon.

This is my review after 1 month of usage:

1. Good mileage its giving me upto 43kmpl, its very good given the traffic & road conditions

   
   




2. at 60 kmph its vibrating, its not smooth at that speed, I didn’t went at higher speeds & have to check how it behaves at more than 60kmph

   
   




3. Very bad gripped tires, the worst quality tires I have ridden in my life(Gripp feels like the tires are 4    years old)

   
   




4. The engine knots if rpm is set to 1000 rpm and it has to be at minimum of 1300 rpm(as per the manual)

   
   




5. Initially the engine used to shut down automatically while the bike is running, but after continous rides upto 40 kms fore more than a couple of times, it seems to vanish

   
   




6. The pickup dropped a bit, I can feel it.(Is it because of long rides? I don’t know)

   
   




7. Certainly not a comfortable bike for long rides(puts more weight on ur hands, your entire body weight seems to be putting more pressure on hands)

   
   




8. Suspension is good, not the best though.

   
   




9. What’s amazing to see is its balance, very easy to handle this bike

   
   

But overall a very good bike, It’s very good & I recommend this bike for guys who want to try something different.
