Melody is a part of life and every bit of sound you listen creates an impact on the mind. If your mind is with you and wan’t to perform a task, listen to the rhythm and go with the rhythm. Music has great power to make you perform better and better.
Whether it is a soft sound of a piano or a hard-core rock. There are people who like to do their work with hardcore heavy metal like Metallica or Nirvana and there are people who prefer the soft Kenny G or Yanni.
If you had read my previous review on Enigma, you must have got to know by now that, I like all kinds of music but I do prefer a music which starts slowly, and takes a high and brings you back down to earth. Enigma has been my all time favourite because I like the thumping sound and the eroticism which enigma has is really fantastic when you do Meditation. People who are into yoga and meditation must have been really a regular listener to this kind of music. Why leave the Indian music, if you listen to Gayatri Mantra in the morning with the four elements, Fire, Water, Earth & Air by different Indian musician your day really goes fresh.
Yanni & his Music
Yanni’s music is simply the use of orchestras, a nice synthesiser, and various different musical instruments. They are mostly instrumental and people who like soft music than should never leave out Yanni. Its one of my prized possession to have mostly all the albums. Though, I didn’t find Live at Taj so great but there are moments in the album, which, made me, buy the album. If you like Kenny G, then you should not miss Yanni. They call it a New Age music. But for me music by any name is wonderful. Instead of wasting my time on TV shows, I would prefer listening to music and make my legs move. Dance and Music are the Gods own gift and every moment of pleasure you have while listening to the sound or making your dance move to the sound, it’s a experience you can never forget.
Whether it is Indian Classical Dance or Western Jazz or Techno world, Music and dance really makes your mind more free and relaxed than anything in the world.
Yanni’s Live at Acropolis
This one album, one should never miss, who are more into Instrumental music. Before going into this album, I had seen a live show by Yanni in one of the TV channel. It was really breathtaking to see this maestro performing live with such a big orchestra. Unbelievable, but it is worth every time.
Each and every track in this album is one hour of pure ecstasy.
“ Imagine sitting inside a cottage, with lake beside and stars shinning and Yanni being played in the background. It is really a sheer mystique and joy of enjoying every bit of music in your life. “
My favourite instruments are the bass, piano and the drum. Each and every track is different from other and it starts slowly taking you to such a high that there is a moment where you will feel the music in your body. It’s like climbing a mountain, where you reach a point and enjoy the beauty at such a height and then you slowly climb down.
Some of the main tracks were you are going to enjoy are : (Again, I am not describing all the tracks.)
Until The Last Moment
This is a piano piece that is very soothing. In this track, the orchestra blends in/out in a superb manner! Here you will feel like climbing the hill slowly, each and every step making you feel the music in your body.
The Rain Must Fall
Baap, of all tracks, I really love the background bass guitar playing; it eventually has its solo part and shows off! Throughout this track the bass fades in and out blending nicely.
Nostalgia
This is a mix of piano/violin piece, which I find an interesting combination along with the orchestras participation. By the time you reach this track, you are already in a high.
Their many such lovable tracks go ahead and enjoy this piece of masterpiece. This a album which no one should miss it.
“Silence is Bliss. When Yanni is played.”
