Lets go around

After reading the book Dolores, by Jacqueline Susann and seeing one more book by the same person, I took to reading it!

The guiding back page suggested of a love story with an alien! and that attracted me more.

When the story began however I started to curse myself for selecting the book to read as it started with a person visiting a pyschatrist.

The book is written very long back, when I dont think there were any dreams of cell phones! THe story is about Janet Coopers who is thinking abt her lover and fiance when an alien space craft comes in... and carries her away.

She reaches the highly forward Yargo. The name of the planet and the ruler of the planet are same! The planet is so advanced that the people there live for lots and lots of years!

Moreover they have forgotten the emotions!

The story then describes how Janet meets the person who can learn any language easily and speaks fluent English. These people have forgotten what tears are and they have found new systems of communicating with other planets! Janet Cooper cannot be accomodated in their highly advanced planet and so they communcate and decide to send her to mars! and she also visits Venus. She goes back to Yargo.. thats all in the story and falls in love with the Ruler Yargo!

The story shows that the emotions of a person are very important! Living, laughing, crying, being hungry getting sick make life more meaningful! Not knowing the languages and the difficulties faced and the fun made is also highlighted!

Although the girl stays for more than 2 months on Yargo she does not learn the new language, if she were an India she would not have to go this way, is sure. Being Indians we are already acquainted with more than 2 languages and start understanding any languages easily with some effort!

The way she is treated like a psychologically unbalanced is also to be thought of. The people whom we love so dearly sometimes make such different reactions is a point to be noted.

I have come to know that this story was written by Jacqueline Susann and the manuscript was found after her death. What aspects in her life made this story is not clear!

The book is rarely known and it was unknown to Mouthshut itself, and I got it added by Mouthpad!

I am sure people will enjoy the reading when u want a thriller with a female lead then this a good book!

The book has some loopholes as well. But everything has some loopholes!
