I felt like my prayers for cheap AND easily available air tickets were answered when I heard of Yatra.com. Kudos to the guys, really. BUT.
When I booked the ticket for the first time, I was promised that the e ticket would be mailed to me within 24 hrs. But then the ticket probably lost its way in the cyber wilderness and never reached my email account. Ya, they did send me the itinerary which had the PNR no, but if they say theyd send the e ticket, then I see no reason why they shouldnt. Besides, the person I booked the ticket for insisted on having a ticket in his hand instead of taking it from the counter. So, well I had to call the helpline. at 2 am because I was myself leaving town for 2 days. Calling helpline at such an ungodly hour is like driving on the roads of Mumbai at the same time - there is no traffic. But surprise, surprise! I had to be on hold for 15 mins, that too I chose to hang up else the hold time would have been more.
Then I called them at 6.30 am and again I was on hold for good 15 mins before an exec helped me.(Now, either they are miserably understaffed or there are way too many people who call them with grievances or bookings). I had to give an alternative e mail id to send the e ticket and he gave me the PNR no with such complicated examples that I felt I was taking a GRE test! Im happy with B for bat or ball. But, no, B is for beta and I was confused if he said B for Beta or P for PETA! I actually did take P down. Anyway thats least of my problems.
I have booked tickets four times after that and every time Ive had to call them to mail me the e ticket or at least the PNR no, if they would. I dont have access to personal e mail at work so I have to go begging to seniors who have access to check if they have done the needful. And its P for painful to call them again and again for at least the PNR no. Funnily, twice they have mailed me the return tickets booked for 4 days later before tickets for the next day flight!
Anyway, dont think Ill be booking from Yatra again or then just make do with the PNR no. Its not fair! I want an e ticket too. Its my birth right! Especially since they claim theyd send it!
