I saw many MS members panning the yatra.com service, now amongst the top3 online travel services. I have had a recent and very pleasant experience with this service and would undoubtedly become a repeat customer.
My brother had used yatra.com for booking tickets for kerala trip last year and he was really impressed by their professionalism. Now hes a guy who you have to do much to please and he knows the genuine from the hyped in a jiffy so well when I had to book tickets for coming to qatar I opted to try yatra.com
I contacted 1 ticketing guy and all through the 15 days alliance with him(yes it took that many days because the visa in gulf countries for the family is very unpredictable, it can take from weeks to months). I booked my round trip ticket to Qatar for myself and the children on one date but then to change it 2 times because of the visa getting delayed.
Since the ticket was 1 year open ticket, the ticket amount was considerable but the payment was hot payment through the internet, by ICICI bank and thus the entire transaction was very smooth.Since I had done some research on price tickets from rival travel agents, I quoted that price to my yatra guy and he eveb gave me a discount in order to retain my customership. That was an incentive for me as he proved to be flexible and polite.
All along yatra was very proactive and approachable. My emails were attended and responded to promptly and since my contact was in evening shift, his colleague took my no and message and made sure that my contact called me back the same afternoon.
ON the whole the service was excellent and timely. I requested the bassinet and though when my flight date was finally confirmed (the flight was full that day) , there were only 15 hrs before the departure. But still they made sure that the bassinet was confirmed and that was really a big comfort.
The prices are also competitive and the service is good. So in this time of confusion when identical travel services are abounding, I can with a clear mind use yatra.com again in future for air ticket bookings.
