BEWARE - never use Discount Coupons / Promotional schemes from Yatra.com .
I recently booked a ticket worth Rs 10, 000/- through PROMOTIONAL scheme of Yatra.com where I got the discount of Rs 600/- . Due to some Medical emergency I was not able to travel and when I approached customer care of Yatra.com for cancellation of my ticket . I was bluntly told that since I have availed discount of Rs 600/- in promotional scheme therefore as per their policy the ticket can’t be cancelled and full amount of Rs 10, 000/- will be kept by them(YATRA.com) .
I told 2 things to Yatra.com:
a) Ticket is refundable by the airlines(Indigo) and airlines was not confiscating the amount .
b) I quoted a similar incident wherein my complete amount was reimbursed by GOIBIBO.com(after availing Promotional scheme) .
To this also they said that as per YATRA.com policy whole amount will be confiscated by YATRA and they will not return even a small percentage of amount . They also declined to give any OPEN ticket or CASH Voucher which could have been availed later .
Please never use any Discount / Promotional schemes for booking of Air Tickets through https://Yatra.com .
