I had lot of expectations from Yatra.com when I had booked the trip with them, but unfortunately, my expectations were short-lived.
I would rate my experience of the entire trip as "Not Good", considering the kind of travel agent assigned, the attitude of the tour guides and the travel agency, very less number of sites for sight seeing.
In fact, just because my flight from Phuket to Bangkok was late and I reported to the meeting point at 6.05 pm instead of 6.00 pm, the travel agency moved the coach without me and asked me to pay 1000 baht(Rs 2000) so that they can arrange a transport for me to Pattaya. This was ridiculous and I had no other option but to pay to their demands otherwise I would have been stranded. There was no one from Yatra.com to take care of the situation there and we were left at the mercy of the local travel agent. I had earlier demanded that my 1000 baht should be reimbursed as I had paid the entire tour cost before the start of the tour and charging extra doesn’t make sense. I have not got any reply on that. In fact, Yatra.com doesn’t bother to reply at all now a days.
The attitude of the local tour guides was rude and they were also misbehaving few times. The tone of their voice and the ways of communication was not appreciated and used to sound more threatening.
The half day sightseeing in Bangkok included only 2 temples and then we were back to hotel. I paid 1500 baht to a local taxi guy and saw 2-3 more sightseeing points. Not sure why should someone pay so much money in lakhs to see only 2 temples.
Overall, I am highly disappointed with the services of Yatra.com and would not recommend to my friends who are planning to travel to Thailand in the coming months.
