Yatra.com is a modern day pirate who loots people wanting to travel abroad. I, among many many many others have been a prey to them. Unknowingly and unfortunately, this misfortune came about when I planned for my honeymoon and contacted these online robbers. For about a month, I prepared all the things they wanted me to. wasting my time and efforts on the things told by the yatra, com’s confused agents. The service provided by the agents is the worst ever. Putting up a question irritates them and not to get started on their confusion level. They will tell you different things at different times and increase the confusion of the customers. 0 stars to yatra.com consultation.
Anyways, I applied for Schengen visa and since I was going to travel for the first time, I didn’t know this visa can only be applied if you have already visited some countries before. But, I wasn’t told that by yatra.com and they were very confident about its acceptance. After a month of running around and preparing for the documents and paying them half of the total cost, which is Rs.1, 10, 000. my visa got rejected. Now, these thugs didn’t tell me about the visa rejection when they were supposed to. Because had they told me earlier, I would ask for the money according to the terms and conditions(entire amount would be reimbursed before a particular date prior going date). But they told me after a week, deliberately. to have the entire Rs.1, 10, 000 for themselves. And yes, this happened.
They didn’t reimburse anything, anything at all. My father talked to them in frustration and threatened for court, in return of which these looters said to him "Do whatever you can". And these were the exact words. So, not only did we not go anywhere, we still didn’t get our money back after 2 months. The reason they give is another classic example of their deception - "we booked the hotel and flight tickets, so that money is non refundable ", which actually is BS. We consulted other travel agent companies and they laughed at this claim. Good job Yatra. you are a piece of work who knows how to play their cards against innocent people and pick their pockets like a goon.
Let me note down crucial points for the people:
Some people might be having nice experiences with this robber company, but trust me. people with bad experiences far outweigh the good ones and I know this because I have personally checked the data and the number of court cases against them.
When we approached other travel companies, the picture was entirely different. These companies(don’t want to name them) flatly refused to guarantee our visa acceptance when they came to know its our first.
Not only did they politely refused, they also suggested us the countries we should visit before applying for a Schengen visa, unlike the looters who just wanted our money and didn’t even provide a proof whether or not they booked anything.
The travel agents are very rude, irritated nd confused. They don’t know their jobs. After collecting and submitting everything, the agent asked me to submit some more documents and this didn’t happen once. They just say "Sorry sir" and that’s it. All the time and efforts are wasted. Very poor service.
This company exists only because of marketing. Other than that, it has nothing. Go and read what others say about this company. Believe me, this is the only company in this industry with these remarks. no other company has this image in the market.
I have many other points, but I am saving them for the court.
Just stay away from they guys or else be prepared for the worst experience of your lives.
