On 19 Sep 09, I have booked, Bagdogra-Kolkata-Bangalore flight for 24 Oct 09 and return Bangalore-Kolkata-Bagdogra for 29 Oct 09.There was no transparancy in the booking process. I have ticked economy class while booking online.
However I was booked on executive class on Bagdogra-Kolkata leg.I have cancelled the executive class ticket as being central govt. officer, we have to travell economy class otherwise no claim! Even though no mistake from my side,
I have been charged cancellation charges from the Yatra. 45 days past, repeated painstaking calls (waiting for hours to talk to the customer care) the refund of Rs. 10484 and Rs. 10184 is not yet made inspite of repeated reminders.I think , I have to approach Consumer Court to get my refund back.I have been promised at least 3 times by Yatra executive that within a week the refund will come to my Credit Card.
But unfortunatelly no joy. My recommendation to all fellow travellers , book directly from the airlines, it is cheaper & faster and for refunds you need not struggle so much. Kindly spread the word to your friends to avoid the ordeal which I am going through to get the flight refund.Otherwise, ensure you don’t need to change/cancell your flight ticket.So, friends, try to learn from others mistake.
