This is a story of a girl who hails from a conservative middle class family with a dream to be successful film director. Her story as all the masala that we find in a typical Hindi film of the 70’s & 80’s.
I only hope this refreshing tale does not go astray or lose its momentum.
I can forsee that if this serial does very very well then, say at some 325 episode, it may get dragged in to a love triangel between Akash, Ronit and Pooja who become successful film personalities by then with all the politics of saas-bahu soaps in a different scenerio.
I pray this does not happen and this serial should have end unlike the K-series which never seem to end at all.
The story ... till now
Pooja is an understanding intelligent hardworking obiedient daughter of Rasiq Lal Mehta and Sudha.
Her Family She has a best friend Mandeep Sodhi , like Veeru and Vijay.
She has an elder sister Prerna married to Jignesh Kumar who is sandwitched between his mother and wife.But this angle of the story is not draged.(Thank god , not even an iota of the saas-bahu stuff).
Another sister Poornima , yet to get married and a brother Parvesh who loves cooking more than anything.
And there is a Mirchi called Jayashree, her anut who is married off to a rich family and always tries to boss off in Pooja’s home.
Her College
Pooja dreams of getting an admission into the posh St.Martin’s college from where her idol Karan Johar got graduated.And she accomplishes it , ofcourse after a lot of tension with her father who intally says no, but in the end accepts only after she admits to his conditions like being at home before 6, no friendship with boys and so on.
Pooja and Mandy face all the ragging at college.Akash is the only guy who was with them from the starting.
There is a brother and sister saga of Reema and Ronit (who r said to be twins) whose parents Inder Gujral( an business magnet) and Maya( an erstwhile actress) never bother about their children.
And there Annie , a headstrong girl whose is behind Pooja ( like Komollika benind Prerna, Mallikka behind Jassi).
And there is Kushal who wants to take revenge on Akash for losing bet and always instigates Ronit against him. ( Akash does it for winning some money for Pooja whose fee was to be paid before the deadline).
Now Akash becomes the CR instead of Ronit (because the election gets cancelled as Kushal tries to rig and Pooja catches him doing that ). However Ronit doesn’t know about what Kushal had done.
Reema is a sensitive girl who likes Pooja.She helps her in doing her project . Pooja wins in the presentation which in future would help her to get into a film course. However , Reema’s mother doesn’t like Pooji and Mandy ; she insults them and hurts Pooja who helps Reema when she takes excess sleeping pills.
Ronit wants Pooja and for this he tries to trap her by throwing a rain dance party to which Pooja accepts to stay because of Reema’s mother’s insistence. Akash who smells that there’s something fishy about all this tries to alert Pooja but Ronit manages to take Pooja with him. On knowing Ronit’s true color Pooja resists him and their stops before hitting somebody on the road.
This is the story till now ... I hope u will like this serial for u now , this is only one at the moment which has a good pace and story , Jassi is getting draged a bit I feel ...
