Yelagiri is one of the place I was planning to visit for a long time. My excitement ended on a rather flat, sad and hot day. We went by our own car and reached there by 10AM. It’s a hot place in April and not so good thing is you can go two park kind of place. A lake & Nature park. That’s all. We didn’t try trekking which might be good and fun. I’d keep the review shorter with pros and cons:

Very well connected to Bangalore
Well maintained road
Journey till hill is great
Humble and helpful local people

There is NO waterfalls (It used to be but it’s dead now)
Limited options to have fun
No points as such
No specialty of the place
Not a good value for time and money
We have been to there in April which as per rules not a good time to visit. Yet I feel whenever you go few things won’t change. Good if you want to drive your car on 100+kmpl for an hour or so else Nandi hill is by far a better option.
