Well the name is an understatement for starters , it’s much much more than that ....it’s a whole attitude thingy !! it’s a boost for your morale ... and if you’ve never ridden one before, and if you’ve never read PG Wodehouse and never listened to the Eagles ....... you’re life is an empty shell !!!
i have a 86 Model with the huge 16 litre tank , points(ignition) and a Jikov Carb ....wouldn’t trade this baby for anything in the world ... I got my bike in my 3rd Year of Engineering and my dad offered to buy me any bike starting with a TVS50(yeah right ... ) and a Hero Honda Splendor(sheesh) but I held firm so he finally agreed and paid a pittance for it ......
The most important feature is ’’ NO MAINTENANCE ’’ , none whatsoever ...... just fill it up and ride .... the rides’ really really smooth , the roadgrip , excellent ...could do with a bit more mileage though but ....then life’s not perfect.
A few things to remember:
1) Get it serviced once in 3 months
2) GO to a mechanic you trust will do the right job or if you can handle it ...do it yourself it’s really simple and all you’ll need is a few tools ......
3) Fill Engine Oil regularly
4) The Roadie can take the punishment so don’t chicken out your roadie won’t......
5) If your girlfriend asks you to get a 100cc DUMP HER!!
