I have a YOU Broadband connection in Thane. It must have been a really bad day when I decided to take this connection. It is unimaginable to have such unprofessional service in these days. I dont know how they are surviving. In Thane I dont have any other option of a cable broadband, so I am stuck. I might still throw them out some day!
The issues:
a) Can you imagine, their service does not have UPS backup! So, if there is a power failure in the area, we dont have internet connection, although my home has a power backup. So, if someday they dont pay their electricity bills(which is quite possible going by their sheer lack of professionalism), and their electricity connection is disconnected, we will be left without an internet connection.
b) Every time I renew, I dont get a receipt for my payment. If I call up their pathetic call center, I am asked to send a mail to some mail id. NOTHING happens! After a few abusive calls, I finally get my receipt. It seems they dont have a standard process of receipt generation and sending acknowledgement to customers(Do they at all know how to spell "CUSTOMER"?)
c) For any issue, if you call up their call center, the only reply you will get is "Somebody will get in touch with you in 24 working hours" OR "your issue will be looked into in 24 working hours". Now the fine prints - 24 working hours is actually three working days. Their support works only 8 hours a day. And yes, they dont work on Saturdays and Sundays. So, if you put a complaint at 5:00pm on a Friday, they will "look into in" only by end of day of next Wednesday.
Licenses of such frauds should be revoked immediately!
