Joe Mannath has really surprised me with his book. I was his student in 1974-76. The style in his book is more or less the same approch he took to teach philosophy to a class of nearly fifty students. He would gather us around him in the auditorium instead of the regular class-room, and teach the most difficult, dry subject like philosophy with the help of cartoons and other illustrations. In the book he has not used cartoons, but he has tried to put those thoughts in colourful language that touches the heart.
After reading his book which I came across, by chance, in New Delhi, I contacted him on email. Instantly he recognised me as one of his past students, and replied me saying, ’It is you who have surprised me’, because I am conatcting him after nearly a quarter of a century! Not only did he recognise me, but sent me a CD containing his voice of the same book. What a personal approach he has with his readers and past pupils!
I wish that each and every young person read this book.
It is a great gift to a friend.
The cost could be reduced so that many people may buy and read this book.
