I have been using YouTele(or IQARA) for a little more than 2 years now, and it has been quite a mixed experience.
Speedwise, my service has been okay. I have the Night plan - 256 Kbps one. The speed varies from 180 to 250 Kbps for normal surfing and torrents. It does drop a little bit on Sundays.(But, do remember. you get static IP from YouTele - downloading from Rapidshare will be a pain.)
They need to work on their connection. Pretty often they have cable failures. The problems do get fixed in a day or two, I agree, but still it is unwanted.
The call center people are not technical guys. Sometimes they can’t even speak properly. You talk to them for minutes. and then you realize that they are IDIOTs. Just call them, explain the problem in one line, take the complain number(if you want to) and HANG UP after saying bye! Do not listen to their monotonous suggestions. We all know a little bit about networking and stuffs. and they will tell you NOTHING better. But, you have to have an official complaint made in case you want to claim for compensation.
The engineers, on the other hand, are quite nice. I would take the names of Vijay and Sanjay in my area. They are good. Maybe they are not IIT smart, but they can fix problems.
You can also lodge complaints from their website. I have got credits(on my monthly bill) couple of times. Also, I stay in rented place and do change address every year. YouTele reinstalled the connection both the times for Rs. 250 each time. That was really helpful. They also changed the modem once - FREE OF COST.
No major complaint with the bills so far.
A few suggestions from me:
Take unlimited plan.
Don’t expect too much from the call center. You know why they are there.
Please try to know more about KBps and Kbps.
While downloading with torrents, try to get an optimum set up. That increases speed.
Check your computer - get rid of bugs.
Pay bills online. and at least 3 working days before deadline.
Use "Temporary Disconnection" when you are away for long and save money.
