YU Ace is a subsidiary of Micromax as a result of its partnership with Yureka, which after briefly releasing some easily forgettable phones in 2014, ventured back into the game this year with a power-packed YU Ace. There are certain aspects of the phone that are a win-win considering the price segment it falls in- the good screen, ample battery, big core performance and seamless UI.
While Yu Ace is a phone that clearly lacks professional photography capabilities, it makes up for it with its AI driven performance. Housing a quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6739WW processor- an upgraded version of MediaTek MT6739 which was clocked at 1.3GHz max, the small hike in the clocking speed does make a big difference when it comes to core performance. Without any seeming lags, the responsive touch only aids to the immersive display of the phone. Supporting a 2GB and 3GB RAM variant, YU Ace performed exceptionally well under normal usage. But when it comes to demanding games like PUBG, you do feel some jitters here and there, as is expected of a budget phone at Rs. 5, 999.
The good thing is- the mighty battery life at 4000mAh which ensures longevity in performance and you can charge your phone not daily but every second day! Yes. Even after extensive usage. All in all, if you were to ask me, YU Ace is a decent performer and absolutely worth spending every penny on for all the features it packs in such a reasonable budget.
