Yu Yuphoria is a low budget device from Yu televentures. It has good specs on paper. Let’s get straight to the review.
Design: The device comes with a metal band all around the sides. The back cover is made of cheap quality plastic and the build quality is good on the device thanks to its metal band and front is the protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Device looks quite good thanks to its metal bands. There is usual placements of all the things as Yu Yunique.
Display: The smartphone comes with a 5inch HD display. The display is quite average and the colour looks washed out. Viewing angles are pretty average. It comes with added protection of Corning Gorilla Glass. The contrast level are also average.
Camera: The device comes with a 8MP rear and 5MP front set of cameras. The rear unit is pretty average. The shots click by the rear camera unit is pretty average. Front 5MP camera is pretty good in terms. It works really well and the capture shots buy the front smaller is very good. Overall the the quality of cameras are just comes out to be average where the front camera shine.
Software: There device comes with a Android lollipop with a layer of cyanogen ROM on it. It has many customization options. But it has its own set of coins the UI is not very sleek and have some bugs. The Cyanogen OS has many customization options and also comes with some bugs which in result affect the performance.
Performance: The device comes with a Snapdragon 410 processor and coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device is snappy and offers good performance. Gaming performance is also quite good. Device have a tendency to heats up while gaming and most of time it remains quite on the cooler side. But a laggy software with some bugs give a toll to the performance. Overall the device offers average performance.
Battery: The 2230mAh battery on the device can last for a day on minimal usage. Battery also charger quite fast. The battery life is average when we compare with competition.
Verdict: Few months ago the device is a good value for money for its price. But now the competition gets stiff and the competition offers much more value for your money. You are better to considering a smartphone from competition.
