Technical brilliance

One movie for which I waited anxiously for 2 months and saw it first day first show in the best theatre in town.......... so as we talk abt whether Yuva was worth the wait........it certainly was.

__Plot: Three youngsters Michael Mukherjee, Lallan Singh and Arjun Balakrishnan coming from three different spheres of the society meet by chance on the Howrah bridge and hence their expereinces on forward after the accident........... the plot seems to be inspired from the mexican flick ’’amoress peros’’.............but again the best part abt the movie is how mani ratnam takes bollywood to unseen territory as the plot moves around in kolkata rather than fairytale lands like sundernagar..............

__The performances: Amazing as well with abhishek bachan portarying the illitaerate bihari thug brilliantly with his accent, body language and that towering height and physique he has given us a fantabulous performance....... ajay devgan is quite average as the student prodigy who fights the evil politician portrayed excellently by om puri(check out the way he talks hindi with a bong accent........a great casting coup by mani ratnam).

Moreover ajay kinda looks old for the part but is otherwise quite impeccable in the role. vivek oberoi is the cool dude son of an ias officer who wants to get to the us and make it big.he has done a neat job and another thing to notice is the relationship between him and his younger brother where they converse completely in hindi excpet for the few tamil words that creep in between which is so reflective of all my cousins up north who speak perfect hindi but put in one or two tamil words in the middle to spice it up and also notice the way anant nag who plays the dad speaks hindi with a tamil tinch........that makes it even more authentic.....

__Technically; The movie gem............everyone seems to have played their part well.........right from AR Rahman, Ravi k Chandran, Sabu Cyril , Sreekar Prasad , Brindha etc everyone has done a great job and kudos to Mani saar for getting the best out of his technicians again. overall a movie for ardent Mani loyalists and a welcome change from the bollywood family sagas........
